Memories....

So i have had plenty of good times with this girl during our short friendship, and after im doing recalling memories, im sure youll get tired of hearing about her. But come on now.. We would literally chilll for hours after school, for about 3 months, we had alot of conversatinos, lots of laughs, and she even shed a few tears, luckily they werent all becasue if me.But it would be crazy not to share some of the memories, over teh next 2 weeks, youll slowly figure out why stuff like this stuck with me.

Her: Can i ask you a question?
Me: You just did
Her: lol, nooo! I have a question to ask you...
Me: HAHA, alright go ahead, whats up kid
Her: Dont call me that! lol
Me: Ask your question before i lose interest, lol
Her: Why do you put up with me?
Me: Hmm, honestly I dont know, sometimes I really dont want to , sometimes I just want to tell you to get away from me and shut up, lol
Her: So why dont you?
Me: Because i know who you are when know one is looking. You're like a little girl with a big imagination, youve told me so much about yourself, and ive made so many promises to you, so being a man of my word, i couldnt leave you hanging..
Her: (big kool aid smile)

We were real cool, friends cool. Just enjoying each others company. But i guess everyone gets fed up though, because a month or so after this convo, i was pulling up at a bus stop, waving telling her to have a nice day,lol

Almost at the end...

Wow, its almost here. Its almost time for me to walk down those kenwood halls for the last time as a student. For a while, somethign ahs been seriously wrong with me,lol. Its odd, like earlier i just had an ultra mood swing after thinking about th efuture and stuff. Flipped out on jade and stuff.. I say im not going to miss it all, and everything can kick rocks. But actually i think all of this is happening becasue i really will miss kenwood, and maybe im not too eager to move on after all. But in rememberance of my years at kenwood, and the people that have come in and out of my life over the past several years. Im going to be posting quotes and scenarios frm the good times i had while i was in kenwood. Hey.. Lets start with this one...

Loving life..

1. Don’t live in the past. It’s easier said than done that you shouldn’t get down on yourself for what has happened in the past. What’s done is done plain and simple. You can’t change no matter how hard you want to. Your past does not define who you are.

2. Don’t live in the fictitious future. The quicker you can let go of what should be and what you want to be to sooner you can enjoy what you have right now. There are no guarantees of what tomorrow will bring or what 10 years from now will bring. It’s nice to dream and have ambitions but you set yourself up for big disappointment when grow too attached to those ideas and they don’t work out.

3. Get excited about something. Do something you’ve always wanted to do. Try photography, running, painting, gardening, decorating, car restoration, yoga, cooking, baking you name it if you thought about doing it, now is the time to do it. Get excited about it throw yourself into it fully and completely. Give it a real shot and have fun.

4. Do something for someone else. This is one sure way to get me feeling better about everything. If you are able to help someone, even in a very small, seemingly insignificant way it can make you beam inside. Help someone with a chore, tidy a room, pick up a bottle of wine on the way home from work. These small gestures actually have a big impact and can make you feel even better than the recipient.

5. See the beauty in everyday things. We can get so caught up in the day to day grind that we overlook even the most beautiful things around us. The longer we let this go on the worse it seems to become. Spend two minutes right now and look out your window, across the street or up at the sky. Look at how things move slowly, purposefully and beautifully.

6. Spend some time outside. There’s nothing worse, for me than being cooped up inside for a long period of time. I get down, moody, bored and lethargic. Get me outside, even if it’s just sitting enjoying the fresh air, and I feel a million times better. If you’ve been feeling the same (moody, bored etc …) try heading outside. Do some gardening, read a book, stare at the clouds like you did when you were a kid, anything that you do inside try taking it outside you may be pleasantly surprised.

7. Do something creative. You may not think you have a creative bone in your body but I’ll bet you do. If you don’t currently do anything creative it may be that you’re scared of failing, creating something sub-par or being laughed at for your attempt. Don’t worry about the nay-sayers and do something. Paint a picture (abstracts are easiest, for me anyway), take some artsy type photos of regular everyday things, make up a new song – something silly for the kids or Grandkids, attempt to knit a scarf or design a garden. You’re only limited by your imagination and your fears.
