See you later....

I was actually taking your passing pretty hard...And I was really having a hard time accepting the fact that you were gone... So ive decided not to.. It'll be like.. We went a while without seeing eachother...So until then.. Rest in peace... And i can really understand why God would have wanted you up there, close to him, because you were truly an angel on earth...

See you later Bishop...Thank You.... I love you... Until we meet again...

"I fought a good fght!!"

This is the Bishop that will remain in my memory.. the kind compassionate man, that was full of life.... I can remember him standing up in front of that pulpit yelling at the top of his lungs! lol,, Dancing... singing...

In the video,at 2 minutes Bishop says.. "i fought a good fight... im done.. the race is over...".... My eyes got heavy when he said this, my throat began to hurt... but as i put my hand over my face.. I kept listening... and later he says... "I want you to HOLD ON! When you feel like you cant take it any longer, when you feel like you cant shed any more tears, i just want you to HOLD ON"..... And thats what im going to do.. Im going to hold on..

Thank you....

These are times that i will remember with this great man....

Ill be missing you.....

He's really gone...

The last time someone close to me died was almost 10 years ago... When my grandfather died... And now. this great man has passed too... Its going to be weird walking through the church halls, and not seeing him strut down the same hall... Its going to be odd not seeing that gold mercedes speed down lake park.. He drove so fast to be so old, lol... I mentioned it to him once and he said "If i wanted to go slow... i'd walk"... He did it all.. to the end.. he even planned his own funerals.... He knew it was time...And he was ready...Everytime I think about him, chills run through my body....Hmm... The last time i went to a funeral of someone who was really close to me, was my kindergarten teacher's... But Bishop's funeral is thursday and Friday... I wonder how im going to take it... I planed on going to both.. but after thursday.. i dont think ill be able to face it again...I dont think i want to....

Home....

Today, a great man was called home... He was easily, one of the top 5 most influential people in my life. He was a father. A son, a leader, an entrepreneur, i think he touched the life of everyone he came in contact with. The last time i saw him, which was maybe a month ago.. He saw me in the hall, and said "David, the first time i met you, your clothes were falling all off of you,I couldn't believe you were wearing a belt, now your clothes fit properly, you look good", lol... He watched me grow up.... 89 years on this earth.... then it was time... I dont even think i have it in me to get deep in this post... Just... a few words...

Isn't she gorgeous!

A prime example of Beauty and Brains. Meet Breia Chanel Clark, currently she is a senior at Homewood-Flossmoor High School and the CEO of GirlMuch.com which is a website that gives advise to teen girls about everyday issues. Theres a little more info after the jump.

She wanted to create a website that would help teenage girls like herself with issues or situations that they might be going through. She said that "Out of all my friends I'm the one they come to the most with their problems and seek advice from. So I thought why not establish my very own website dedicated to that?" (That entrepreneurial mindset). She doesn't remember why she chose the name GirlMuch exactly. "It simply came across my mind and I fell in love with the name.

Its a nice site, great design, great content, and the owner has a passion for what she does which is most important. Good Luck Breia! I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. But i can see now that.... you wont need it.

Break up to make up.... or not...

I recently changed my facebook status to a quote from a Drake song that says "Everybody talks, and everybody listens, but somehow the truth always comes up missing?... Its crazy how real this guy is and you cant help but listen to his songs over and over again. Thats why so far gone was my favorite album of the year... And it wasnt even a real album!

But.... Break up to make up... HaHa, jokes on me this time!! I cant help but laugh and move.... So the girl that ive been writing about for the past year is no longer my girlfriend. The harsh reality we must face. Although it wasnt always like this.. Actually, we broke up on some great terms. Friends.. Laughing, hanging out, playing the game(i won this time)..We said that we would be best friends, and tell each other everything, lol...This little friendship went on for roughly 2.5 days theeeennnn.....

Everybody start watching, everybody start talking, and she just sat there and listened... as always.... And the truth came up missing. So story is.. that not even a full week after me and this girl broke up from a 15 month relationship, im supposedly talking to this other girl. I tried to tell her it wasn't like that, as always.. But of course, it was my word against everyone elses..They always won. But thats neither here nor there. Yeah, im with this girl alot I guess. Actually, its a funny story how it all started, turns out, we have always taken the same route everywhere, i just never paid attention to it, until she pointed it out. Ok, so now im walking to a couple classes with her, im seen with her, and not too long after.. You know how high school is.. Word travels fast, and the story seems to change with every person who is told. So from me walking down the hall with her, now it gets to her that im talking to the girl? What? Am i now? Well thanks for the new info on my life.. I guess

Usually we talk everyday, we laugh we joke.. But as the week went on... I noticed that we were talking less and less. So i talked to her about it. of course she denied it, but i think ive got it figured out. She is kicking me out of her life for good. It looks like she wants to exchange as little words with me as possible. She says she wants to be friends, but her actions say, "get the hell out of my life, i regret teh day i met you, but thanks for the life lesson". Its crazy. I understand that she had to get over me at some point because we were no longer together. And i understand that she had to let go a bit. But all im seeing is the dominos falling starting with a little rumor about me and a girl. Yep, the girl ive been in love with for 5 years..(5 years into eternity?) Is kicking me out of her life. Funny thing is.. a week ago we were talking about what would happen if one of us just cut the other off... Last week it was a joke, LOL, today its reality... It was like in the notebook!!! When they were younger they would always argue, and gith, but not too long after they wold be laughing and joking again.. Thats how we were, i guess time never really healed all her internal wounds, but on the surface eventually she was alright. and we'd be laughing and talking again. But this is not a movie.... Before.. We'd break up, not talk for a while, see each other and fall in love all over again. That was then....

At one point, i could look into her eyes and see a hidden smile, a hurt little girl, and love that would last forever. But now when i look into her eyes. i just see hurt, despite, hatred..All that staring back at me... For the first time in my life, i can't when this game. There are no cheat codes, there is no restart button, no rematch, there is no way i can delete the memory and start over. Its done. I lose, game over. Im going to have to put the controller down, let it go, last time?? Maybe illl glance at the videos we made over the past year, lol. Too bad they were only of us during intimate moments. Unfortunately i dont have any of her smiling, laughing, staring back at me with those little eyes filed with love and hope. Thats what i think ill miss the most..

You always told me that i say one thing and do another. And my actions speak louder than my words. Well you say that you want to be friends, but your actions tell me otherwise. So today, Ill let it go. The helium filled balloon is leaving my hand. gone with the wind. Ill stop texting, ill stop asking you to do stuff(although i still want that peanut butter and jelly sandwich i was promised). I think ill just bring my own cologne, and pray that mine is stronger than the marijuana that fills my locker.....You're going to have to wait for that though, i need to air it out first, lol.

Farewell my love. "i love you" for how long? "forever and ever and ever and ever and ever." lol. Yeah... So i guess we're here..... Forever has come and the love that you had for me has faded away.....

If you ever need me though, im here, you have my number. Dont be afraid to call, text, see if im still alive.

Enjoy life, don't look back.

Daily Video tribute to Mr. Jackson

We thought the best way to pay tribute to The King of Pop would be through sharing his work. THroughout this week Premium HYpe will share some of our favorite Jackson videos lead off by what’s regarded by many as the greatest music video of all-time: Thriller.

Premium Hype paying tribute to MIchael Jackson

It’s the most shocking death of an entertainment superstar since John Lennon in 1980.

All due respect to the memories of Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger, Chris Farley, Aaliyah, Selena and the far too many other celebrities who died suddenly, Michael Jackson was in another universe as an entertainer. He has had his health problems over the years, but we had no inkling he was anything but healthy before Thursday afternoon.

The pop entertainment world was still paying tribute to the late Farrah Fawcett when the shocking news about Jackson was delivered. Within the span of just a few hours, we heard paramedics had been called to Jackson’s home, that Jackson was in cardiac arrest — and then, according to TMZ.com, he was gone. Mainstream news outlets were rightfully cautious, reporting Jackson was in a coma, making sure the story was confirmed before proceeding with their obituaries.

Wow. Michael Jackson gone. He was only 50, but he was world-famous for more than 90 percent of his life. And what a life. What an amazing, inspiring, impressive, frightening, sad, wonderful, terrible, troubled, bizarre, sweet, beyond-strange life.

He was reportedly abused as a child — and he was either a great friend or a dangerous predator to children as an adult.

What's beyond dispute: Jackson's showbiz resume is first-ballot Hall of Fame stuff.

He was one of the most talented child stars we’d ever seen, delighting TV audiences and record-buyers as the front-kid for the Jackson 5. He was a sex symbol as a young man. In the 1980s, he was the biggest star in the world — one of the biggest stars ever. On a par with Elvis, the Beatles, Sinatra. More dominant than any entertainer who has come along since then.

“Thriller” is one of the Top 10 albums of all time. Singles such as “Billie Jean” and “Beat It” and “Thriller” will live on for the next century. Jackson revolutionized the music video. He was the Jackie Robinson of MTV. His appearance on the Motown anniversary special in 1983 was the stuff of legend, with nearly 50 million tuning in to see his famous moonwalk.

“The Wiz” and the nearly forgotten “Captain EO” notwithstanding, Jackson never made the transition to movies. Had he not undergone the multiple surgical procedures, had he not affected that persona that went from Peter Pan to Pure Creepy, maybe he could have done some decent films. Some kind of musical, perhaps. But in the end, he was just too weird even for Hollywood.

The marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, with that infamous kiss on TV? We didn’t buy it. The interview with Diane Sawyer, in which Michael wore gold-plated shinguards? Chilling in its wackiness.

And of course there were the charges, the denials, the trial and the lingering doubts. We’ll never know the truth about what happened or didn’t happen, but the known facts are troubling enough. It’s just not right for a grown man to host children for overnights at a home called Neverland.

In the end, ours is not to judge. We mourn the entertainer, and we should respect that his family and many friends loved him. Michael Jackson was one of the most beloved and one of the most ridiculed figures of the last 100 years. His music delighted tens of millions of fans the world over, and he did an enormous amount of charity work — but he creeped us out with the statues to himself and the faux-military uniforms and most of all, with the questions about the kids he befriended.

Nevertheless, it comes as a shock to hear he is gone. He was the father of three children. He was a greatly gifted artist. He had every right to believe he had decades of life ahead of him. It is a shame he's gone.

Nobody has a guarantee on tomorrow. When someone ridiculously famous dies, the best reaction is to say a prayer for that person — and to vow to treasure the people you really love, not in an “I love his music” way, but in a real, human way. The people in your own life.

My Tribute to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

History is indeed made up of significant events which shape our future and outstanding leaders who influence our destiny.

Martin Luther King's contributions to our history place him in this inimitable position. In his short life, Martin Luther King was instrumental in helping us realize and rectify those unspeakable flaws which were tarnishing the name of America. The events which took place in and around his life were earth shattering, for they represented an America which was hostile and quite different from America as we see it today.

Martin Luther King, Jr. catapulted to fame when he came to the assistance of Rosa Parks, the Montgomery, Alabama Black seamstress who refused to give up her seat on a segregated Montgomery bus to a White passenger. In those days American Blacks were confined to positions of second class citizenship by restrictive laws and customs. To break these laws would mean subjugation and humiliation by the police and the legal system. Beatings, imprisonment and sometimes death were waiting for those who defied the System.

Black Americans needed a Martin Luther King, but above all America needed him. The significant qualities of this special man cannot be underestimated nor taken for granted. Within a span of 13 years from 1955 to his death in 1968 he was able to expound, expose, and extricate America from many wrongs. His tactics of protest involved non-violent passive resistance to racial injustice. It was the right prescription for our country, and it was right on time. Hope in America was waning on the part of many Black Americans, but Martin Luther King, Jr. provided a candle along with a light. He also provided this nation with a road map so that all people could locate and share together in the abundance of this great democracy.

We honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. because he showed us the way to mend those broken fences and to move on in building this land rather than destroying it. He led campaign after campaign in the streets of America and on to the governor's mansion - even to the White House - in an effort to secure change. Today Black Americans have federal legislation which provides access and legal protection in the areas of public accommodations, housing, voting rights, schools, and transportation. These rights were not easily won, nor readily accepted, but the good will and conscience of an enormous spectrum of our society both Black and White said "Move On."

Thank you Dr. King for being the drum major who was able and ready to lead our nation to greater heights through love and peace.

President Barack Obama

I would like to take a little of your time to share something wonderful with you. Tomorrow, we are going to experience something that no one have ever imagine, a moment that we all have been raise in our culture, to think that it was impossible for black people to achieve; a moment that was only possible in our dreams, a moment that will make the History of the United States and of the Black community: the nomination of the 44th president of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama.

We started to hear about Mr. Obama at the Democratic Convention in 2004. But no one ever thought that this man could make the History of a country, of a continent, of a nation. Our President had a mission, a goal, and it was to change the course of History.

Our Black nation has suffered a lot during the last years; we were desperate because we thought that nothing was possible for Black people. We have to work 4 times harder to get the same rights of everybody else. We had the slavery, and we were targets of tease and mockery. But there were innovators and pioneers who drew the road for Barack Obama; there was Rosa Parks, a woman who protested against the seats that were reserved to White people only. Because of her bravery, she started the National Movement of the Civil Rights in the United States. There was also Dr. Martin Luther King, who had a Dream and this regardless the persecutions, that there will one day have a Black President for the United States, and his prediction has been realized today. There were many other people that drew the road for Obama such as Malcolm X and Ghandi.

A wind of change and hope has blow out on us when our President started to talk; he got us interested in politics with his charisma and his personality. The Americans voted in a manner that has never been use before. Obama's team used their imagination: they used internet and social networks such as Black Planet, YouTube, etc to promote his message of change and peace, to make us experiment something that we didn't have in us anymore: the power to dream, the power to believe in us, the power to believe that a change is possible, that nothing is impossible to the one who believe: "Yes we can!"

President Obama is a model for our generation: a model of perseverance, of creativity, and a model of hope by his attitude. We will be inspired by him to conquer every circle of the society, to overcome every barrier. He is a model of excellence and not of mediocrity. Our vision has changed and we now know that nothing is impossible to the one who believe that he can achieve his goals, fulfill his dreams, that we can be the head and not the rear, that the doors are wide open for us.

President Obama is not only the president of the United States, but he's also the President of the World!

We thank him for this powerful story of courage and perseverance that will allow us to surpass our limits and to go to the next level.

Do not miss the inauguration of our President Barack Obama!

God Bless You.
